06-06-2006 E-mail: Ginny Lehner No need to thank us, the pleasure we've gotten out of your website far out weighs any thing we might do for you. I've really enjoyed reading about the Hoyt family, especially about Jonathon Hoyt. I remember reading about him and his kidnapping when I was a little girl! It facinated me then and it still does. We are hoping to get to Remus this weekend and I think I know where the Wambolt cemetery is. We will get pictures and send them to you along with the other Fritz cemetery pics. I didn't tell you that when you stand just above the Fell plots you can see the Fell farm across the mile square. The cemetery is only 1&1/4 miles from the homestead. As for Phebe Fell, Henry J.'s second wife, she and Henry were listed togeather on the 1930 census for Newark twp. Gratiot Co. along with a May Bovee - 24, who was their niece. Henry was 88 and Phebe was 80. We couldn't find her in the Fritz Cemetery, but I'll find out who the sextant is and see if there are cemetery records. As with any cemetery there are missing stones and some broken ones, but overall it is very well kept. I don't know the Bovee connection yet, although we know lots of Bovee's from the Ithaca area. She was probably a great niece and was there to care for them. I will let you know. Now about that bush - do you want it pulled or just trimmed back? Are there other Hoyt relatives that might object or would they care? We are still going through Henry J.'s diary and yesterday the Librarian at the school where my husband teaches gave him a HUGH "Harper's Pictorial of The Civil War" the thing weighs a ton, but we are able to match up the battles and places listed in Henry's diary with the book and we have pictures to boot. What fun! Also we are planning a trip to Seneca Co. this summer on the way to our kids in Sunbury Ohio. It's just a short jump and we will send you any info and pics we get there. We have been going through a rough patch, but the Lord has blessed us with some wonderful and interesting people and things lately and I am so thankful. I will get back with you asap with all the Fell and Wambolt pics and info. Your VERY distant cousin by marriage, Ginny :)
