The following is a quote from Frederick V. Hoyt that appeared in the Spokane
Newpaper, January 11, 1931.

"Then in 1894, I entered into partnership with my brother, W.S. Hoyt,
and we started the Garden Springs greenhouses, which we conducted for
nearly 40 years.  We sold out about a year ago."
