Andrew L. Hoyt's - School Report

on his Gt-Gt-Grandfather's Business - Atlas Milling Company

from 1912, when Hugh P. Hoyt came to Clinton, to manage the mill,

to purchasing the Atlas Mill in 1924, and sold out of family, in 1955

(Sadly, mill became vacant 2005 - burnt down by arsonists on March 12, 2009)

When Hugh P. Hoyt tried to get a patent for"Hoyt's Sun" Flour, it was already taken. So, H.P. Hoyt, had his youngest son, Hugh H. Hoyt, driven to Ann Arbor about c1930-32, and had him photographed, and H. P. then, renamed flour as "Hoyt Son's" Flour, for these Large Barrel Flour Ads.
