996) Plantagenet Ancestry of Seventeenth-Century Colonists, p 134 7. Edward Hastings, Knt., K.B., 2nd Lord Hastings, son and heir, was born on 26 Nov. 1466. H e was married before 18 Feb. 1480/1 to Mary Hungerford, daughter and heiress of Thomas Hunger ford, Knt., by Anne, daughter of Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland (descendant of Kin g Edward III). She was born about 1467, and became Baroness Botreaux suo jure on the death o f her great-grandmother Margaret de Botreaux on 7 Feb. 1477/8. Probably in consequence of th e marriage, he was summoned to Parliament v.p. from 15 Nov. 1482 by writs directed Edwardo Ha styng' de Hungerford', whereby he is held to have become Lord Hastings of Hungerford. They ha d two children. With the reversal of the attainders of the 3rd Lord Hungerford and his son Si r Thomas Hungerford, she became in addition suo jure Baroness Hungerford and Baroness Moleyn s in 1485. "Edward Hastynges Knight, lord Hastinges and Hungerford" died testate on 8 Nov. 15 06 (P.C.C., 37 Bennett), and was buried at Grey Friars', London. His widow was married for th e second time on 1 May 1509 to Richard Sacheverell, Knt., of Ratcliffe on Soar, co. Nottingha m (died testate 14 Apr. 1534). She died before 10 July 1533, and was buried with her second h usband in the Collegiate Church of St. Mary in the Newark at Leicester. . He marri ed before 18 Feb. 1480/1 (by papal dispensation dated 4 Sept. 1475, they being related in th e 3rd and 3rd degree of kindred) Mary Hungerford, daughter and heiress of Thomas Hungerford , Knt., of Chippenham, Rowden (in Chippenham), Sheldon (in Chippenham), etc., Wiltshire (desc endant of King Henry III) by Anne, daughter of Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland (desce ndant of King Edward III). She was born about 1467-8 (aged 7 in 1475, 8 in 1476, 11 in 1478) . They had one son, George, K.B. [3rd Lord Hastings, 1st Earl of Huntingdon], and one daughte r, Anne. Mary became suo jure Lady Botreaux on the death of her great-grandmother, Margaret B otreaux 7 Feb. 1477/8. He was summoned to Parliament from 15 Nov. 1482 to 20 Nov. 1496 by wri ts directed Edwardo Hastyng' de Hungerford', whereby he is held according to modern doctrin e to have become Lord Hastings of Hungerford. In 1485, the attainders of the 3rd Lord Hungerf ord and his son, Thomas, were reversed, whereby Mary became (in addition to her title of Lad y Botreaux), suo jure Lady Hungerford. He was granted the lordship, barony, and honour of Has tings 15 Dec. 1487. Mary was heiress about 1492 to her grandmother, Eleanor (Moleyns) (Hunger ford) Manningham, by which she inherited the manors of Stoke Poges, Aston Mullins (in Dinton) , Weston Molyns (in Weston Turville), Buckinghamshire, etc., as well as the title, Lady Moley ns. Sir Edward Hastings, Lord Hastings and Hungerford died testate 8 Nov. 1506 (P.C.C., 37 Be nnett), and was buried at Grey Friars', London. They had no issue. He was a legatee an d appointed one of the executors in the 1517 will of his cousiin, Ralph Shirley, Knt. He atte nded the queen at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520. He and his wife, Mary, presented t o the churches of Newton St. Loe, Somerset in 1521 and 1530, North Cadbury, Somerset in 1521 , Aller, Somerset in 1522, and Holton, Somerset in 1529. Mary, Lady Hungerford, Botreaux, an d Moleyns, was living 30 June 1530 (date of presentation), and died before 10 July 1533. Si r Richard Sacheverell died 14 Apr. 1534.
