Amanda Jane was my grandmothers sister my grandmother was Mary H Craycraft Archey that is ho w I'm related to their children. Amanda was born on July 14, 1850 in Indiana or Ky her fath er was John Craycraft and her mother was Malvinia Cameron. 2. Jacob Richards is another son of Thomas Richards Sr. and Susana Green Richards. It's hi s son that I'm also related to. It gets tricky Jacob had a son by the name of Thomas Everett Richards who was born on Oct 30, 1880 in Greenu p Co, Ky. He died on Aug. 17, 1957 in Vinton County, Ohio he is buried not to far from wher e he lived. His wife was my Aunt Margaret Archey she was born on Juy 25, 1884 in Greenup Co unty, Ky to my grandmother Mary H Craycraft Archey and John Archey Jr. Aunt Margaret or Au nt Maggie as we called her died on April 28, 1971 in Hocking County, Ohio and she is also bur ied in Vinton County, Ohio beside her husband. Thomas's death certificate is als o shown there on his page it states his fathers name was Thomas Richards and mothers name i s Susanna no last name given. If you noticed the RIchards family named their children afte r their brothers and sisters. This was very common back then, also did you know that if a br other got married and he died and he had a single younger brother 9 times out of 10 that brot her married his brother's the widow? Another thing if you check out the census closely famil ies usually married their neighbors. My sister lives in Vinton County, Ohio and I will ask h er to pick up Thomas Everett's death certificate. It was a huge family but the reunions were great... I have a sister Hester M. Archey Paugh who passed way in Aug, 2005 and she is buried in Fosto ria, Ohio. A brother Robert C. Archey who passed away in Sept, 1995 he is buried in Searcy , Arkansas. The only mistake you made on my Aunt Margaret (Maggie) Archey Richards was on her husband Unc le Thomas Everett Richards. You have him down as My Great Aunt Amanda Jane Craycraft Richard s and Thomas Richards Jr. son. He was not their son, he was their nephew. Uncle Thomas Everett Richards was the son of Jacob and Minnie Applegate Richards. Hope this clears things up a little better for you. Uncle Tom and Aunt Margaret ( Maggie) are burie d in the Lebanon Cemetery in Vinton County, Ohio. The cemetery is about 8 miles from London derry, Ohio its at a place called Eagle Mills. Thomas died on Jan 13, 192 3 and Amanda Jane died April 1, 1928 in Greenup County, Ky. They both are buried in the Nipp ert Cemetery, Sunshine, Greenup County, Ky. I know their son Jacob married and he signed his fathers death certificate. Minerva marrie d a Joshua Jacob Harr and they had 1 child. I know he was born in 1881 and Minerva and he ei ther divorced as she is listed on her grave as Minerva Richards. I believe he was still livi ng in 1920. Amanda Jane was my grandmothers sister my grandmother was Mary H Craycraft Archey that is ho w I'm related to their children. Amanda was born on July 14, 1850 in Indiana or Ky her fath er was John Craycraft and her mother was Malvinia Cameron. 2. Jacob Richards is another son of Thomas Richards Sr. and Susana Green Richards. It's hi s son that I'm also related to. It gets tricky Jacob had a son by the name of Thomas Everett Richards who was born on Oct 30, 1880 in Greenu p Co, Ky. He died on Aug. 17, 1957 in Vinton County, Ohio he is buried not to far from wher e he lived. His wife was my Aunt Margaret Archey she was born on Juy 25, 1884 in Greenup Co unty, Ky to my grandmother Mary H Craycraft Archey and John Archey Jr. Aunt Margaret or Au nt Maggie as we called her died on April 28, 1971 in Hocking County, Ohio and she is also bur ied in Vinton County, Ohio beside her husband.
