Subject: Re: Hoyt Gen & y-dna match

John--
Sorry that I haven't answered sooner. I've been out of town.
Yes, I did the Family Tree DNA test. I match with Chandler Haight.  Our markers are identical on all 37 tests.

My line is:
1.  Simon Hoyt and Susannah Unknown
2.  Joshua Hoyt and Mary Bell
3.
  Joshua Hoyt and Mary Picket
4.  Charles Hoyt and Hannah Bishop
5.
  Pierson Hoyt and Naomi Unknown
6.
  Ezra Hoyt and Martha DeForest
7.  Augustus Hoyt and Mary DeForest
8.  William E. Hoyt and Frances Slagle
9.
  William S. Hoyt Private
10. George E. Hoyt Private
11. George W. Hoyt Private

The first six above are in the HHH book. Chandler Haight and I have the same ancestors on the first four Hoyts on the above list.
My line centered around
Stamford CT. All of the above lived (moved) within a 15 mile radius of the Stamford Town Center
While I was born and grew up in
Stamford, I moved away with entry into the USAF in 1953 during the Korean War and have not lived back there since.

(other than for very short stints with my parents.)

I had many matches on the 12 marker test, and even a few on the 25 marker test. It was when I submitted to the 37 marker test, that it was narrowed

it down to just Chandler Haight and myself.  Have you done the 37 marker test?

Hope this is helpful to you.
George Hoyt (of CA, but formerly of Stamford CT)
