Copied about 1916 by Sybil Hyatt, Kinston, NC Original records are at Kinston Public Library . The following Bible records were copied from a book belonging to Isaac Green Taylor, who lived on Buson(sic) Swamp, Kinston RFD with his daughter, Mrs. Dave Worthington. He served three years in the Confederate Army, Company A, 40th Regiment in the heavy artillery. His first service was at Fort Fisher, from there he went to Smith's Island, from there to Fort Anderson, from there to the battle at Wise's Forks. At Wise's Forks two of his company were killed and some were captured. From there he went to Bentonville where many of his company were captured and also the flag, which was made by the ladies of Wilmington. The Yankees took off all he had, did not even leave him a suit of clothes. During Foster's raid, the Confederates burned up all his houses and outhouses, threw up breastworks and cut timber fo r stockades. The hardest fighting was at Perry's Branch near the County Home. . Isaac Taylor was born September 4th, 1744, died October 29, 1823 Henrietta Taylor was born July 11, 1762, died October 19, 1843 . Isaac Taylor, Junior was born September 23, 1786, died March 3, 1829. Son of Isaac and Henrietta Taylor. . Stanton Taylor, son of Isaac and Henrietta Taylor was born September 8, 1784, died May 30, 1841 . Green Taylor, son of Isaac and Henrietta Taylor, was born April 24, 1794, died April 22, 1860. He married Penelope Simmons, who was born March 12, 1861, died September 27, 1867 . Richard B. Taylor, son of Green and Penelope Taylor was born March 15, 1821, died August 4, 1890 . Lemuel T. Taylor, son of Green and Penelope Taylor, was born February 14, 1823, died December 15, 1849. . Amos W. Taylor, son of Green and Penelope Taylor, was born Dec 26, 1824, died Feb 12, 1896 . William G. Taylor, son of Green and Penelope Taylor, was born Dec. 11, 1826 . Joseph O.
